Terms of Service

Last updated 2026-05-07.

1. Who we are

Kvittla is operated by Funkify AB, a company registered in Sweden (org. no. 559105-4084, Sweden), and the service is provided from Sweden. Contact: support@funkify.se. When you use the service on kvittla.se, you enter into an agreement with us.

2. What the service does

Kvittla is a tool for creating a digital receipt between two parties — typically a private-party secondhand purchase where you meet up and pay each other directly. Both parties sign with a drawn signature on their own phones and each receives an identical PDF, together with a cryptographic audit trail (timestamps, document hash, and Kvittla’s issuer signature).

The signature is a simple electronic signature: under the ESIGN Act and UETA it may not be denied legal effect solely because it is electronic, and courts weigh the evidence on the facts. Kvittla is not legal advice, and it does not replace official processes such as DMV title transfers or notarized documents where a state requires them.

3. Price and payment

The service costs $0.99 per receipt created. Payment is handled by Stripe directly on kvittla.se; we never receive or store your card details. A Stripe receipt for your payment is made available in the flow.

4. Delivery and refunds

The service is digital content delivered immediately when you pay. Before paying, you confirm at checkout that you agree to immediate delivery.

You can still ask for a refund if the service doesn’t work — for example if the PDF generation fails and we can’t deliver a receipt. Email support@funkify.se and we’ll sort it out.

5. Your responsibilities

  • The details you enter are accurate, and you have the right to enter the other party’s name and any address (the other party should have agreed to the purchase and the receipt).
  • You only upload images and PDFs you have the right to use — typically a screenshot of your own listing or of the listing you are buying from. No copyrighted material without permission.
  • The service is not used for fraud, money laundering or any other unlawful purpose.
  • You understand that the receipt carries simple electronic signatures. They have evidential value in a dispute, but they do not replace notarization or other specific formalities where a law requires them.

6. Availability and faults

We do our best to keep the service running around the clock but cannot guarantee uninterrupted operation. If something goes wrong, contact us at support@funkify.se.

7. Personal data

How we handle personal data is described in our privacy policy. In short: no login, no accounts, the session is deleted automatically after a short time, and we keep no backups.

8. Limitation of liability

Kvittla is responsible for the tool producing a correct PDF based on the details you enter, including the timestamp and hash. We are not responsible for the contents of the purchase itself, for the parties’ true identities, for disputes between you, or for how a court weighs the evidence. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, and nothing in them takes away consumer rights you cannot waive under the law of your state. Otherwise, our liability for faults in the service is limited to the amount you paid us for the receipt in question.

9. Disputes and governing law

These terms are governed by Swedish law, without affecting any mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live. If you have a consumer complaint we can’t resolve together, the FTC publishes independent consumer guidance at consumer.ftc.gov, and you may also contact your state attorney general’s office.

10. Changes

We may update these terms. The latest version is always available on this page, with the date of the last change at the top.
